Strauss, like Mozart was known for his impeccable writing for the female voice, as well as his superb choices in librettists. In fact he was known to model his operas on those of Mozart. We will be featuring excerpts from Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, and Cosi fan Tutte as well as from Arabella and Der Rosenkavalier.
